Day 1 Shanghai
When you arrive at Shanghai Pudong International Airport you will be picked up at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to sightseeon your own.
Day 2 Shanghai (B,L)
Today you will explore Shanghai`s famed universities to experience the local academic atmosphere. You will walk around the campus of Fudan University and Tongji University. They are high ranking universities in China. In the afternoon pay a visit to Duolun Road Cultural Celebrities Street. You can have a stroll along the street, or just take a seat and experience its modern art.
Day 3 Shanghai - Suzhou (B,L)
Today you will be driven to Suzhou. In the afternoon pay a visit to Humble Administrator Garden and Tiger Hill. Then visit a silk factory to learn how silkworms produce silk.
Day 4 Suzhou - Wuzhen - Hangzhou (B,L)
This morning you will be driven to Wuzhen, a lovely smallwater town with a river winding through it like a silver ribbon. Taking a short cruise on the river you can enjoy the waterside scenery and watch people walking by. The houses there have white walls and grey tiles and stand close together on each side of the river. After lunch you will be transferred to Hangzhou.
Day 5 Hangzhou (B,L)
This morning enjoy a short boat ride on the beautiful West Lake which is associated with many legends. Then pay a visit to LingyinTemple. It is the most popular Buddhist temple in Hangzhou. After lunch visit the historical Huqingyutang Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum and take a leisurely stroll along Hefang Street.In the 12th century Hangzhou served as the capital city of the Southern Song Dynasty. Then visit MeijiawuTeaVillage to taste the famous Longji Green Tea.
Day 6 Hangzhou - Guilin (B,L)
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Guilin. In the afternoon our guide will take you to visit the Elephant Trunk Hill &Fubo Hill.
Day 7 Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin (B,L)
After enjoying your breakfast take a trip on the Li River Cruise to witness the spectacular limestone rock formations and rural life along the riverbanks. After having lunch stop at Yangshuo, a small town set in the lush rice paddies and surrounded by meandering rivers and limestone peaks. Then enjoy some free time to explore. Then you will be transferred back to Guilin.
Day 8 Guilin - Xian (B, L)
This morning you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Xian.In the afternoon explore Shaanxi History Museum. It is a large building, combining traditional architecture with modern technology. Afterwards go to the city wall, the oldest and best preserved in China.
Day 9 Xian (B,L)
Today visit the world famous Terracotta Warriors, discovered in 1974 and considered one of the eight wonders in the world. After having lunch you will visit the Wild Goose Pagoda one of the most famous Buddhist temples in China. Then walk along the old streets of the Muslim area and visit the Grand Mosque. In the evening, you can choose to enjoy a performance named Tang Dynasty Singing and Dancing Show – this is optional and is not included in the quotations.
Day 10 Xian - Beijing (B,L)
After enjoying your breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Beijing.This afternoon visit the Summer Palace, which used to be a summer resort of Empress Dowager Cixi and is dominated by the 60-meter-highLongevity Hilland Kunming Lake.
Day 11 Beijing (B, L)
After enjoying your breakfast you will visit Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here. Then pay a visit to the Forbidden City, one of the five most famous palaces in the world where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. After lunch you will visit the Temple of Heaven where emperors in Qing and Ming dynasties conducted religious rituals and prayed for good harvests. It is one of the most important landmarks of Beijing. Then you will participate in a special cultural experience: Beijing opera facial makeup. You will be taught about the techniques of face painting and try painting an opera face. This will last for half an hour.The dominating colors on the face have to go with the performing character’s personality and historical assessment. For example, red means loyalty, uprightness and intrepidity. Black shows the character is upright, honest, brave even impertinent. White shows the performing character is an evil man or illicit official. After that, you will experience a popular relaxation therapy in China-foot massage which lasts for about 80mins. Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Day 12 Beijing (B, L, D)
Today explore the fantastic wild Mutianyu section of Great wall-which is well preserved with spectacular views and has fewer tourists than Badaling.In the afternoon pay a visit to Changling, one of the thirteen Ming tombs.It is the tomb of Zhu Di, the third emperor of Ming Dynasty. This evening you will taste Beijing Roast Duck in Quanjude which is a famous Roast Duck restaurant in China.
Day 13 Beijing (B)
Free till being transfered to the airport. End of the fabulous tour in China.
