Day 3 Hong Kong - Guilin (B)
After breakfast, take flight from Hong Kong to Guilin.
Day 4 Guilin (B,L)
One day City tour of Reed Flute Cave. The Reed Flute Cave is a brilliant cave marked on almost all travel itineraries, located 5 kilometers northwest of the downtown Guilin. Next visit Elephant Trunk Hill. Elephant Trunk Hill is located on the western bank of Li River Scenery, the shape of the hill is just like a huge elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk.
Day 5 Guilin (B,L)
Pick up from your hotel early the morning around 7:30am. Then drive about one hour to get to the Zhujiang Pier. Then start to take cruising on Li River. The cruising on the Li River is the highlight of the tours in Guilin. You will have lunch on board. You will enjoy the pretty mountains, green fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank.
Day 6 Guilin - Cengdu (B,L)
Take flight from Guilin to Chengdu. Today’s highlight is Wu Hou Temple, Jinli Street.Wu Hou Temple: Enjoying a history of over 1500 years, Wuhou Temple Museum is a 4-A level Scenic Area and also the country’s most influential ancient ruins in the Three Kindoms Period with the longest history.jinli Street: Jinli Street was in ancient times one of the busiest of commercial boulevards of the Kingdom of Shu, thus known as the “First Street of the Shu Kingdom.”
Day 7 Chengdu - Xining by overnight train (B,L)
Visit Panda Breeding and Research Centre. It is home to giant pandas, the endearing red, or less panda, and other endangered species. Visit the nursery to see the successful breeding programmer and view the pandas at rest and play. Take overnight train to Xining.
Day 8 Xining - Lhasa by overnight train (B,L)
Cruise on Qinghai Lake. Qinghai Lake is the largest inland salt water lake in China and at 3200 meters above sea level. The lake’s scenery is most beautiful during summer and autumn. Take overnight train to Lhasa.
Day 9 Overnight train - Lhasa
Take overnight train to Lhasa.
Day 10 Lhasa (B,L)
Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street.Potala Palace: Potala Palace is the architectural and religious wonders, former winter home of the Dalai Lama.Jokhang Monastery: A 1,300 years old golden-roofted shrine, smaller and more manageable than the Potala.Barkhor Street: An outdoor market, lined with the stalls, selling all kinds of goods.
Day 11 Lhasa (B,L)
Today’s highlight is a visit to the Sera Monastery, located a few miles to the north of Lhasa. Enjoy a Tibetan Song & Dance Performance after dinner. Then we will pay a visit to the Nobulingka, means “Jeweled Garden”, was constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama. In the afternoon, come to the western suburb of Lhasa to visit the extraordinary Drepung Monastery founded in 1416.
Day 12 Lhasa - Shigatse (B,L)
Drive to Shigatse. Get off at the Yamdrok Yumtso Lake and transfer to your loacal hotel. First visit the Gyangtse Old Street. Then move on to Palkhor Monastery. Built as a Tibetan monastery, it is very different from other monasteries, reputed as the lord of Tibetan monastery.
Day 13 Shigatse - Lhasa (B,L)
Visit Tashilunpo Monastery, represents the Tibetan super architecture art in the last Tibetan spirit, attracts thousands of tourists and Buddhists to worship and travel every year. Drive back to Lhasa.
Day 14 Lhasa - Xian by air (B)
Morning Flight from Lhasa to Xian. Met & transferred your Hotel in Xian.
Day 15 Xian (B,L)
After breakfast, visit Xian City Wall, the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Then move on to Shaanxi Museum, which considers it an obligation to be a showcase of ancient civilizations. Lastly visit Great Mosque. Xian Great Mosque is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosque in China. Tang Dynasty Show in the evening.
Day 16 Xian (B,L)
Beginning the day with a once-in-a lifetime viewing of the extraordinary 2200-year-old Terra-cotta Army of China’s First Emperor-Qin Shihuang. Three exhibition halls house the continuing excavation of am army of 7,000 terracotta soldiers and horses that guard the tomb of the First Emperor. Then go to visit Forest of Stone Steles Museum, the largest and earliest stele forest in China, now it has become Shanxi Provincial Museum. Continue to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the oldest structures in China. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the Xian city’s most distinctive and outstanding landmarks, possibly the most beautiful building left in Xian today.
Day 17 Xian - Shanghai (B,L)
Take a morning flight to Shanghai. Take a stroll on The Bund, a splendid row of early 20th century European buildings. Then move on to the Pedestrians only Nanjing Road. Nanjing Road is a must-see metropolitan destination attracting thousands of fashion-seeking shoppers from all over the world.
Day 18 Shanghai (B,L)
Today’s highlight is your visit to Yuyuan Garden. It was fist established in 1559 as a private garden, located in the center of the Old City next to Chenghuangmiao in Shanghai. Continue to visit Oriental Pearl TV Tower, a symbol in shanghai like the Statue of Liberty in New York and the Eiffel Tower in Paris. After lunch, go to visit Jade Buddha Temple. Built in 1989, Jade Buddha Temple covers two-and-a-half acres in southwest Houston and consists of the Grand Hall, Kwan-Yin Hall, the Youth Activity Center, a library, a dining hall, several living quarters, and a lotus pond with a statue of Kwan-Yin as its centerpiece.
