Day 1 Terracotta Warriors & City-Wall
Highlights: After breakfast, our local xian tour guide will pick you up from the hotel or airport.We will visit the Terracotta Warriors Museum, and City-Wall.
Terracotta Warriors: which is about 40 kilometres away from the downtown area of the xian city, at east side outskirts of the city, discovered accidentally in 1974,by local farmers who digging the well.this incredible army contain more than 8000 soldiers, archers, horses and chariots who are going to guard emperor Qin's tomb in full battle formation since 210BC。Each figure is unique,even today the excavation still continue in 3 pits which are protected by huge arch-shape hangar.
City-Wall: which is famous landmark symbolic architecture military facility.that perfectly well preserved in china, Its original motive is to fortify the city.there is moat still there encircling the entire city-wall, and Its perimeter can reach to 14 KM ! Today , the tourist not only can walk round on the top of the wall, but also can be biking on the wall. some section of the wall also provide the tourists Rickshaw service (depend on the climates).
Day 2 Mountain-Hua
Highlights: After breakfast, our local xian tour guide will pick you up from the hotel.we will directly drive to Mt.Hua to visit.
Mountain Hua: which is Situated in Huayin City, 120 kilometers (about 75 miles) east from Xi'an City of Shaanxi Province,known as 'The Number One Precipitous Mountain under Heaven'. It is one of the five sacred mountains in China. It is home to several influential Taoist temples where emperors of past dynasties made pilgrimages, making Mt. Huashan the holy land of Taoism.
Normally,there is two methods to finish climbing the mountain, you either can completely to climb from the foot of mountain to the summit and return same way back by feet all the time, (since this method is no cable-car available,therefore you will spend two days in total , and consume too much physical energy and some part of mountain is really Precipitous and dangerous. winter season ,especially January is not recommend to visit). Or take the cable-car from the foot of mountain to the north peak directly , then continue to climb to the summit.(south peak), after hiking among the peaks , we will take the cable-car come down the mountain either from the north peak (the same peak where you start to climb the mountain) or from west peak (where the most close to the summit). this method can finish the mountain within one day. therefore this is highly recommend.
By the way,when you arrive at south peak (summit), there is a famous place called 'Changkong Zhandao' (a plank path built along the surface of a vertical cliff) which is about 4 meters (about 13 feet) long and about 0.33 meters (about 1.1 feet) wide. Below is the bottomless crag which makes tourists shake with fear.but Do not worry, for the people who intend come down waking on the board along the cliff,will be mandatory to harness. By the time 6pm, we can arrive at the parking lots. and then drive back either airport or hotel to end a wonderful day.
Cookie and Water is highly recommend for self-prepare, since nearby the mountain area ,there is no reliable restaurant to eat.mostly is greasy spoon.
